Our client, a large oil and gas operator, is seeking three Project Engineers for contract roles in Calgary, AB.

The Position

Based out of the Calgary corporate office, the Project Engineer will be responsible for Project Delivery and  Operations Support Engineering. Project Engineers are a critical member of the Engineering group; responsible for pipeline and processing facility projects in various geographic regions.


The successful candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and leadership skills.  They are able to collaborate with internal business partners to manage and deliver successful projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications:

•Engineering degree from accredited university and registered Professional Engineer in Alberta.
•10+ years of well-rounded mechanical, process or production engineering experience in implementing projects and providing operational support for gas and NGL processing facilities.
•Strong Project Management experience and knowledgeable in gated project delivery models.
•Has personally been accountable for managing brownfield infrastructure projects greater than $20 million TIC.
•Strong leadership experience, an ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams in an efficient and collaborative manner. 
•Ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, influence decision making and work collaboratively in a team environment.
•Strong attention to detail and proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and multi-task.
•Creativity in identifying, developing and evaluating alternative solutions to realize business opportunities.
•Strong communication, interpersonal, organization and analytical skills.
•Self-starter who is able to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
•Familiarity with current codes (ABSA, ASME, CSA, API, NACE,etc.), acts and regulations.
