Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for an Occupational Health & Hygiene Manager. This role can be based anywhere in the Americas (North, Central, South) and requires travel.

The Occupational Health and Hygiene Manager is responsible for providing a broad range of occupational health support across the jurisdictions Wood operates to ensure that the physical and mental health of employees at Wood is maintained



  • Provide proactive advice and support to the business on implementation of the Global OH Standards and self-assessment tool
  • Support the different business units to Identify OH hazards within their business streams through the development of effective industrial hygiene programmes
  • Support the development and roll out of Global OH/Hygiene initiatives including mental health and wellbeing strategies and initiatives
  • Identify and support the development of a consistent framework for occupational health management for the different jurisdictions including fitness for task, health surveillance and case management requirements
  • Monitor ongoing effectiveness of occupational health programmes through regular audit of compliance and process


Skills / Qualifications

Successful candidate to possess:





  • Higher level training in occupational health/hygiene

Knowledge, skills and experience:



  • 10+ years in a technical OH/Hygiene role
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
  • Effective/competent IT skills
