Our Client is an Operator with a leading chemical production facility in Beaumont, Texas. 

Job Summary / Overview

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant II responsibilities include but not limited to analysis, reconciliation of general ledger accounts for all entities, and recording journal entries. Other responsibilities will include assisting the Accounting Manager with financial statement reporting, cost report preparation, financial analysis, budget preparation and implementation, financial statement audit preparation and special projects as assigned.

  • Oversee accuracy of account analysis and reconciliation on all balance sheets accounts for all entities.
  • Manage monthly financial statement close work completed in accordance with closing schedule.
  • Lead all required audits, cost reporting, and tax filings; audit, cost report and tax return lists to be completed by established deadlines.
  • Monitor and manage the annual fiscal budget process and financial projections throughout the fiscal year; utilize budget software to create budgets and forecasts; prove analysis and project future results; conversion of budget into general ledger system.
  • Direct complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
  • Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Present a professional image at all times to clients and vendors and maintain a positive reputation of the company.
  • Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Assists other Departments and other administrative personnel as necessary.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
 

Education, Experience, and/or Training

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience working in Accounting, or related field required.
