About the opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Transportation business unit delivering services centred on key transportation markets to clients principally across the United Kingdom but through our networks and growth strategies supporting projects across the world.

You will be joining the Technology Solutions group with teams across the UK this role will be based in our Birmingham office whilst offering flexible working.

You will be given the opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience across a wide range of specialist areas and emerging technologies. These may include connected and autonomous vehicles, traffic management and control, smart motorways, enforcement systems, smart city technology, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, air quality management, tolling, etc.

You will provide advocacy, strategic guidance, research and development support, technology advice and project assistancedeveloping innovative and state of the art Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) solutions. Projects may vary from individual assignments, as part of a delivery team through to working with and supporting multi-disciplinary teams in different offices in the UK and abroad.


  • Relevant knowledge and experience in several of the specialist areas and emerging technologies noted above
  • Demonstrable experience of delivery of technical reporting
  • Ability to work individually and part of wider teams
  • Project Management skills relating including programme and budget
  • Demonstrable report writing skills - including as lead or co author
  • Excellent interpersonally skills
  • Agility - the ability to be able to work across different specialist areas
