Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking for a Cost Control Lead to work out of our office in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia
  • Study and understand all relevant project documents and conditions
  • Ensure EPC contractor cost reporting is structured for incorporating into overall Directorate reporting
  • Monitor EPC contractor's milestone verification to support invoice submission
  • Review EPC contractor's costs for changes in the scope
  • Review and monitor procurement activities
  • Co-ordinate commercial administration in line with contract requirements to ensure cost reimbursement
  • Control and forecast teams' costs and manpower
  • Prepare and maintain time and cost trend statistics to support cost and man hour forecasts
  • Support preparation of invoices
  • Prepare final job statistics and analyses the effectiveness of cost procedures for possible improvement on future projects

Skills / Qualifications

  • Engineering degree preferred
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Experience in PMC / EPC / FEED organizations in the field of Refinery / Petrochemicals for major projects
  • Experience in cost control and change management on engineering, procurement, construction, and completion phases which should have been gained in the refinery, petrochemicals or oil and gas industries
  • Must have a strong understanding of cost and change control in both a lump sum and reimbursable environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and tenacious
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
