ENGIE are recruiting for a proactive Head of Projects with engaging Leadership skills on our Smart Buildings contract. This role has National scope, and will preferably be based in London although other locations will be considered. This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week. Reporting to the Smart Buildings Operations Director the Head of Projects will be responsible for the successful design and delivery of complex projects from deal inception at business development phase through to the delivery of the overarching customer objectives.
  • Deliver projects across the Smart Buildings business areas.
  • Supporting the Business Development team with solution design and costing.
  • Project implementation, delivery, documentation, supply chain, handover management.
  • Working with the Operations Director to ensure projects are appropriately resourced
  • Project stakeholder management
  • Responsibility for Health &Safety on relevant projects.
  • Implementation & compliance with all statutory procedures.
  • Financial management & reporting.
  • Management of key supply chain relationships required in the delivery of such projects


Who are you?
  • Significant experience operating in project management roles within the BMS / Controls Building services industry.
  • Demonstratable experience in managing projects to a value of £3m +
  • Demonstratable experience of managing Health & Safety compliance
  • Demonstratable experience of estimating project costs, and presenting high quality tender documents to customers
  • Demonstrate IT literacy capability for software applications such as AUTOCAD, Intellect (accounts) plus full literacy with Microsoft Office suite. Incl. MS Project
  • Demonstrate experience and competency with PDA and mobile telephone software and applications.
  • Demonstrate experience of managing/supporting/coaching a team of people to deliver quality projects to stakeholders.

The role will encompass designing and delivery of integration architecture therefore the candidate should have excellent knowledge and understanding of:

  • Life Safety Systems
  • Location based Services
  • Audio Visual
  • Air Conditioning
  • Access / Security
  • Lifts
  • IP Based services
