We are seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to join Shaybah Producing Department. The engineer will provide engineering design and support for all the of the department facilities with specialized engineering and technical knowledge related to instruments troubleshooting, selection and integration.
As a successful candidate you should hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, in Instrument and Control, Electronics, or equivalent major.
Minimum of 12 years in instrument engineering, preferably in oil & petrochemical industry. Experience in process analyzers is preferable.
Certification, such as Professional Engineer and Certified Professional is desirable.
Thorough knowledge of engineering practices, calculation methods, and design details related to field instrument
Knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to Oil and Gas and Refining Industries (API, ISA, NEC / IEC, NFPA, ASME, etc.)
The ability to lead and function as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to maintain clear understanding of design issues, progress and objectives is required.
Effectively performing similar roles and responsibilities, preferably in oil and gas industry or similar process industry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Prepare engineering design packages to install new Instrumentations.
Perform engineering troubleshooting of field instrumentations and online analyzers.
Participate in facilities upsets troubleshooting and investigations to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Perform technical assessment for instrumentations and analyzer performance.
Integration of new projects into existing infra structure.
Assess and review of repeated failures and bad actor instruments and analyzers.
Prepare/Review the specification and selection of field instruments to meet performance criteria.
Perform Instrument Sizing calculations (Control Valves, Relief Valves, Flow Elements, and thermowell
Contribute in the department campaigns and work towards achieving operation excellence.
Review the engineering design packages for the new installation and upgrade projects.
Review project proposals and detailed design packages for new facilities and participate on the testing and commissioning of the new systems.
Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
