We currently have an opportunity for a Building Surveyor Apprentice. The successful individual will work towards achieving a Level 6 Building Surveying Apprenticeship qualification.

The Building Surveyor Apprentice will build their knowledge and expertise in undertaking surveys and project managing schemes in addition to learning about our other various services, including contract administration, employer's agent, project monitoring, specification writing, and condition surveys. You will also work with others within the multi-disciplinary team and assist in the associated deliverables for projects in this area.

About the role:

You will utilise your skills, qualifications, experience and knowledge to work together in a motivated and integrated team, with clearly defined reporting lines, roles, responsibilities and authorities.

A Building Surveyor Apprentice will assist in the delivery of technical solutions, providing support to the other technicians and engineers in your team. Your main responsibilities can include:
  • Supporting the wider business units to gain a broader understanding of Building Surveying
  • Supporting the building surveyor leads as required in the delivery of technical outputs of projects and the seamless sharing of information with other discipline teams
  • Supporting business objectives and our goal to maintain Customer Service Excellence
  • Being a part of the building surveying team, and working closely with colleagues, who will help you develop your client development skills and business acumen
  • Taking personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards


  • Achieved a grade C/4 or above in at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English AND holds 3 A Levels (or equivalent) in any subject OR aLevel 3 qualification in Building Surveying

Desirable Skills & Characteristics:
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Confident communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience of using MS office packages; particularly Microsoft Excel

You should be able to demonstrate that you are:
  • A well-mannered and professional individual with a positive 'can do' attitude. Proactive in nature who takes pride in 'getting things done' to a high standard.
  • Able to demonstrate a keen interest in a career in Building Surveying within the engineering & construction environment.
