Job Description Summary

The Global Accounts Payables operations COE Leader is responsible for enterprise wide shared services Procure to Pay operations across Baker Hughes. This includes managing a global team of experts and 580+ BPO shared services partners with locations in India, Philippines, Poland, Argentina & China. In this role you will own long term strategic vision, key performance indicators, metrics and execution. The wing to wing scope includes vendor onboarding, invoice operations, disbursements and working capital solutions. In addition, you will own optimization of our digital tools and automation capabilities across the procure to pay space. This position will report into the BH Global Cash Leader.

This role will drive process framework, improvement, integration and simplification. In addition, this leader will be responsible for developing & implementing operational reporting, KPI dashboards, and data trending to measure improvements and working closely with Product Companies, Finance, IT to create world-class Procure to Pay processes. Additional Responsibilities include:
  • Lead a team of global process leaders & cross-functional stakeholders
  • Implement "AP framework" with Regions and Product Lines (Toolkits, KPI dashboards, Standard processes, system processes etc.)
  • Deliver an automation strategy coordinated with Digitization team to simplify and automate tools including evaluation of the use of third-party service suppliers
  • Work with buy/pay desks teams to drive rigor in processes and gather root cause data to drive improvements upstream
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement, root cause, and performance trending. Identify and implement opportunities to improve process and automate where possible
  • Take ownership of designing general global standards (i.e. contractual terms)
  • Leverage change acceleration process across team, regions, and function to drive improvements
  • Utilize LEAN & Six sigma tools to engage global teams, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop processes/KPI's.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of finance and/or operations experience
  • Experience with IT tools: SAP, Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent systems experience
  • Capability to understand and analyze complex situations utilizing data analysis and systems thinking, LEAN approach
  • Proven leadership skills including the ability to motivate cross-functional teams to implement and drive process change supporting simplification and performance excellence

  • Strong communication (verbal, written) & collaboration skills with proven ability to drive and manage change initiatives in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated process rigor
  • Understanding of ERP systems
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Commercial contracting/UCC knowledge
