Position Description:
We are looking for an IT Systems Specialist to join the Computer Systems Division (CSYS) within the EXPEC Computer Operations Department (ECOD), under the Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Computer Center (ECC).

CSYS provides technical support for all Saudi Aramco, Exploration and Producing (E&P) Business Line computing and networking resources, mainly located in the ECC. These resources include: Linux clusters, storage arrays, Windows servers and specialized workstations, and routers and switches to support E&P seismic and petroleum engineering activities.

Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. A Master's degree in one of the stated fields is desirable.

Minimum of 12 years' experience with a strong preference for 15 years' plus in supporting high performance storage and general purpose storage.

Internationally accredited certifications; such as MCSE, CCNP, Red Hat, IBM, DDN, NetApp, Huawei, etc.

Strong project management skills.

Knowledge base of the latest developments in storage and backup areas.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You are required to perform the following:

Provide consultation and deployment services in high performance storage solutions (HPS GPFS) and network attached storage (NAS).

Provide operational and architectural data storage systems administration.

Participate in the evaluation, selection, implementation of new storage and data backup archival technologies.

Maintain current knowledge of relevant hardware and software storage and backup solutions.

Assist in ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.

Demonstrate working experience in IBM/TMS, HPS/DDN and NAS systems support.

Demonstrate working experience in storage relevant IR4.0 technologies.

Train and develop young professionals on the newly adopted storage solutions.

Undertake support activities, analyze process or technological problems; propose scope and corrective course of action, make suggestions to management, follow through to a satisfactory conclusion, and suggest revisions to standards and procedures, as necessary.
