The Technical Editor for Operational Integration (OI) is a resource specialist in managing the production of major documents, from draft and review to publication, for the System Commissioning and System Acceptance programmes of the Thames Tideway Tunnel project.

Major documents include the System Commissioning Plan (SCP), the System Acceptance Plan and various supporting components that are being drafted by subject matter experts in Operational Integration and the wider commissioning teams.

Key responsibilities
  • Works with the OI Commissioning Manager in planning the System Commissioning documents production programme
  • Drafts the core document for the SCP and compiles the components that make up the plan
  • Manages OI document reviews in line with set processes to meet Interface Agreement and Works Information requirements
  • Advises authors on the use of templates and structure of documents to be produced Recommends use of layouts, graphics, tables, charts or storyboards to amplify or clarify publication objectives
  • Reviews material by others and recommends revisions or changes in approaches, scope, format and text to ensure Tideway standards for publications are applied
  • Researches content for use in documents, presentations and other material
  • Writes documentation, creates presentations, graphics and spreadsheets as needed
  • PIMS author for the Operational Integration library in the Programme Information Management System

Please note this role is being offered on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract.
