Overview / Responsibilities Wood is recruting a motivated, skilled Environmental technician with 10 years environmental experience that enjoys technical challenges to join our Louisville Kentucky team. This position requires an individual with effective communication skills and team interactions are expected. We are seeking an individual with experience conducting project oversight for demolition and comnstruction projects. Candidates should be self-motivated, have experience working in a team environment, and be able to work on projects with variable complexity.
- Oversee installation and development of groundwater monitoring wells and piezometers according to project scope and federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Adhere to site-specific health and safety plans and defined scopes of work to complete tasks safely, thoroughly, and accurately; prepare or assist in the development of work scope, schedule, and budget
- Provide oversight of subcontractors, including utility locators, drilling contractors, and remediation contractors
- Evaluate compliance of subcontractor work against technical specifications and scopes of work
- Willingness and ability to problem solve, adapt to site conditions, and develop solutions while in the field and office setting
- Majority of travel will include project sites located in East United States
Skills / Qualifications - 5- 10 years of experience
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training
- Computer proficient (including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Team player and technical contributor
- Able to define scope, schedule, and budget for project implementation
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with the ability/desire to lead tasks
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to occasionally work greater than 8-hours per day
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required
- Ability to read, interpret and apply information on State and Federal technical guidance, and regulations, and compliance determinations
- Must pass drug test, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
