Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is searching for an General Foreman with experience in the oil and gas industry to work on a project in Huntington, UT.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.

The Lead Field Foreman will perform project execution, assuring achievement of the plan in terms of quality, time and budget in compliance with the Company's HSE and technical standards as well as established policies and procedures. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
    • Track repairs & construction progress to ensure timely completion, containment of costs, and minimize lost production
    • Maintain an electronic daily log to capture all critical events, occurrences and happenings (this log should be available to the Construction Manager at all times)
    • Accountable for the quality and accuracy of work carried out as well as ensuring the accuracy of execution reports
    • Provide quality cost estimates, procedures, scheduling, reporting, tracking and oversight on assigned construction activities which are comprised predominantly of wellsite, piping network, facility flow process, new construction, repairs and modifications
    • Track the progress of the project, reporting progress, concerns and recommended corrective actions promptly to the Construction Manager
    • Act as the focal point for all construction related activities within the assigned assets
    • Identify appropriate resources required to perform work and forward planning resources
    • Identify increase or reduction in scope and relay the necessary support documents to Project Engineer for project control purposes
    • Lead the execution of assigned projects, assuring that all allocated responsibilities are dealt with accordingly;
    • Assure asset integrity standards are maintained
    • Ensure that all work carried out complies with company and client standards along with current legislation and follows sound industry norms and practices
    • Ensure all records and required documentation from the project (electronic and hard copies) are maintained and completed to auditable standards
    • Liaise with operations and project team to analyze and solve execution problems
    • Responsible to identify improvement opportunities that add value to the company and the client
    • Act as a liaison between the field personnel and the management to present concerns and offer solutions to pending problems
    • Promote a safe working culture and practices, techniques and use of tools and a high degree of HSE awareness
    • Manage an effective team, including sub-contractors
    • Ensure contractor performance is in accordance with work schedule, specifications and all other requirements
    • Lead, guide and support all team members in the execution of the assigned projects in an organized, effective and efficient manner
    • Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness to ensure all subordinates and subcontractors are aware of standards expected
    • Report all injuries, occupational illnesses, material losses and environmental damage incidents
    • Ensure safety in design processes is applied
    • Complete necessary paperwork related to safety and work tasks
    • Communicate with all employees and client personnel daily


Skills / Qualifications

4 yrs experience in a supervisory position in maintenance and new

construction;
  • Proficient in computer applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications;
  • Effective team builder, team leader and team player;
  • Able to delegate work assignments and give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities;
  • Knowledge of construction information systems and water information;
  • Knowledge of construction planning, scheduling and reliability concepts;
  • Ability to work effectively and prioritize in a high performance, fast-paced work environment;
  • Seek ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness;
  • Ability to make decision in a timely manner and exhibit sound and accurate judgement;
  • Supervisory and management skills.
