Worley is currently recruiting for a Competent Turbine Technician for a fixed-term contract.
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our offshore team on the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Turbine.
Key aims and objectives:
- Assist Advanced and Senior technicians to manage project requirements, to carry out work scopes in line with project requirements and all project documentation (e.g. RAMS, Workpacks, NOA)
- Assist ops manager with co-ordination of installation schedule with clients
- Interpret instructions and issues arising; implement actions according to relevant policies and procedures
- Ensure customer satisfaction whilst looking after the companies best interests at the same time
- Attend Client Facilities when necessary
Role Requirements:
- Ensure tools have been maintained
- Liaising with Project Engineers to ensure all planning requirements have been met for each project prior to and during project delivery
- Ensure all planning requirements have been met for each project
- Assist Supervisors, team lead and other team members to ensure project delivery
- Promote and encourage hazard observation reporting
- Ensure safe working practices are always adhered to
- Attend and deliver tool box talks, ensuring that everyone understands and complies with safety requirements
- Ensure the continuous skill and performance of Worley technicians at all times
All candidates should hold the following Qualifications & certification:
- GWO Working at Height
- GWO Manual Handling
- GWO FIre Awareness
- GWO First Aid
- GWO Sea Survival
- OGUK/Renewables UK Medical
- Chester Step
- GWO Slinger/Signaller (or approved equivelant)
Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience:
- To have and be able to provide evidence of superior knowledge and experience of working on 6.0 Direct Drive Wind Turbine Generators
- Ability to organise and prioritise and effectively balance multiple priorities
- Effective communication, organisation and presentation skills
- Ability to manage teams effectively with a positive attitude
- Be able to motivate and encourage colleagues
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines and handle multiple priorities
- Able to organise and work with minimal supervision
- Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability
- Self-starter with a proactive approach in taking work issues forward
- Able to get on with others and be a team-player
- Level of fitness sufficient to conduct climbing or other operations as required
