Engineering Watch Rating - Offshore UK

Crane Vessel

Location: UK, North Sea

Start: ASAP (depending on any travel restrictions)

Duration: 12 months (renewable on agreement)

Salary: Negotiable

Rotation: 75 worked / 35 unpaid leave days

Working Week: 7 days p/week - 12 hours p/day

Contribute to a safe engineering watch in a manned engine-room or designated to perform duties in a periodically unmanned engine-room. Perform the marine engineering function at support level as indicated in regulation III/4 and/or III/5. Execute the assigned work tasks within the frame of own responsibilities and/or qualifications. Maintain safe working practices.
Report to Engineer on watch, execute the assigned work tasks within the frame of own responsibilities
Assist with engine room operations and watch keeping
Carry out maintenance as directed by own STCW regulation

Qualifications
STCW required certificates, National CoP Reg. III/4 (seniority Junior/Expert)
STCW required certificates, National CoP Reg. III/5 (seniority Senior)
Completion of all training and certifications as described in the Training Matrix

Experience
Minimum 2 years to cover Expert position

Certifications of Proficiency III/4 or III/5
PERSONAL SURVIVAL TECHNIQUES STCW A-VI/1 - 1 (1)
FIRE PREVENTION AND FIREFIGHTING STCW A-VI/1 - 2 (1)
ELEMENTARY FIRST AID STCW A-VI/1 - 3 (1)
PERSONAL SAFETY & SOCIAL RESPONSIBLE STCW A-VI/1 -4 (1)
PROFICIENCY IN SURVIVAL CRAFTS AND RESCUE BOATS (other than fast rescue boat) STCW A-VI/2 (1)
ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING STCW A-VI/3 (1)
BASIC SAFETY FAMILIARISATION A-VI/1 (1)
SECURITY -RELATED FAMILIARISATION REG A-VI/6 (1)
