Jacobs has a growing UK Landscape and Arboriculture team of over 70 professionals and we are looking for someone who can bring their landscape architecture expertise to this innovative and exciting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the continuing development, implementation and management of landscape architecture projects within the Landscape team across a wide range of project stages and types.

This role can based from our Glasgow or Edinburgh Office, and is fixed-term for 12 months.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake landscape design and planning for a range of projects
  • Work with a range of disciplines within Jacobs and with outside consultants
  • Contribute new innovative ideas, materials, research and learnings to the landscape team, as part of your project work
  • Support both the design and assessment teams.

The successful candidate must be a strong communicator, capable of presenting technical concept and solutions to clients and collaborating with multi-discipline teams to achieve the best results.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Effective supervisory and organisational skills;
  • Be able to resolve issues in a timely manner;
  • Be flexible and dependable;
  • Be able to work in multifaceted working environments on a range of project types.


Qualifications:

  • Chartered senior LA with experience at this level
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Ability to take on projects and work independently or as part of the wider landscape and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • AutoCAD with good graphical presentation skills for drawing delivery
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Adobe CC (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) software, with associated graphics and presentation skills.
  • Good standard of report writing skills
  • LVIA experience
  • Site visits and appraisal work forms part of the role, sometimes in more remote locations, therefore a driving licence is essential for this role
