Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently recruiting for a Storekeeper (Offshore) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
- Ensuring that all assigned activities and duties are carried out with HSSE to the fore and in an exemplary manner by providing leadership through personal example
- Ensure that warehouse(s) / storage locations are maintained in a tidy and organized manner through promotion of good house - keeping and storage locations / inventory records
- Ensure all materials databases and project reporting tools are updated with latest information
- Monitor stock levels of work scope pad - stock and consumable materials, proactively advising the Material Controller of the need for replenishment
- Ensure all materials management activities are completed in time for distribution and issue of materials to relevant job site(s), i.e., checking off against manifests, receipting into stock, highlighting anomalies requiring OS&D's, safe and environmentally suitable storage, auditable issue of materials
- Ensure that returned materials are checked, seeking QC support as appropriate and returned to stock in a usable and recordable manner
- Conduct stock checks on a planned basis to ensure integrity of inventory
- Ensure effective and timely reconciliation and disposal of surplus project materials
- Produce detailed hand - over at the end of rotation for assigned back - to - back to ensure seamless transition and no interruption to operations
Skills / Qualifications Essential:
- SVQ / Standard Grade or equivalent
- 5 years Oil & Gas Materials Management experience
- IT Literate (Excel / Word etc.)
Desirable:
- BOSIET (Offshore Survival)
- Dangerous Goods by Land, Air and Sea
Experience
- Puts safety to the fore in all allocated tasks
- Experienced in the control and management of materials from receipt at warehouse through issue to work force
- Good working knowledge of material systems, process controls, warehousing and logistics within the oil and gas industry
- Competent in accurately maintaining issue registers and return records
- Ability to identify oil and gas project materials and equipment
- Experience in the handling, storing and preservation of oil and gas project materials and equipment
- Personal qualities, aptitudes, and skills
- Puts safety to the fore in all allocated tasks
- Individual who owns allocated tasks and demonstrates commitment to delivering same
- Attention to detail, a commitment to getting things "right - first - time"
- Ability to react to changing deadlines to achieve project goals / milestones

- Meticulous in the maintenance and updating of materials management systems
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
Competencies - technical
- Basic understanding of material specifications and standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, BS, EN, ATEX, PED, BASEEFA)
- Ability to check and verify materials against relevant certification
- Comprehensive understanding of stock management principles
- Promote HSSE policy and other regulations such as LOLER, Environmental, COSHH, Dangerous Goods, etc.
- Compliance with manual handling regulations
