CDD Process and Assurance Manager

Key Accountabilities:

Process Leadership
  • Take ownership of the development and maintenance of the CDD and Pre-Qualification Operational Deskbook
  • Be responsible to ensure that necessary updates to the end to end process (including tools) to support changes in Group procedure and risks management activities
  • Oversee and facilitate the development of CDD and Pre-Qualification capability into the team across GBS centres, by supporting the coordination of the capabilities assessment and training requirements
  • Ensure Compliance to CDD and Pre-Qualification policy and procedures by working closely with CDD Operations, Enablement, Ethics & Compliance, Segments, Legal team and the CDD Operations team
  • Ensure counterparty data integrity in the systems is preserved and enhanced in line with CDD policy and procedures
  • Provide KPIs and MI supporting the effective operations of the CDD Operations team and in support of internal and external reporting and assurance
  • Own the CDD tool and act as the focal point for engagement with the tool service providers
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Be a focal point for deployment/communication of revised Group CDD procedure across teams

Process and Data Integrity
  • Ensure all information are stored securely in accordance with the requirements of the CDD process ensuring compliance
  • Maintain the consolidated Key Process Indicators for CDD and Pre-Qualification process and input to segment risk heads and Ethics & Compliance
  • Drive system, tools and process standardisation

Global People Management
  • Act as line manager for Process Assurance Senior Analysts
  • Participate actively in GBS Enablement talent management processes to develop skills and capability within the team

Key Challenges
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders in different countries and across all segments
  • Working with E&C and legal teams in BP to understand CDD and legal requirements for multiple jurisdictions
  • Understand Anti Money Laundering and Anti Brobery & Corruption requirements and ensure compliance
  • Driving operational excellence across various segments and geographies

Qualifications and experience:
  • Excellent communication in English
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field; or professional certification such as ACAMS or ICA.
  • 10+ years of working experience in CDD / AML or Compliance
  • At least 5 years experience in people management and managing large scale operations
  • Deep understanding of CDD processes and tools
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Proactive and dynamic approach
  • Experience in pre-qualification or project management is a plus

The CDD Process and Assurance Manager's role is to run the process assurance and reporting activities of CDD and Pre-Qualification to the Head of CDD and the respective head of controls for each segment. You would be acting as the owner of the CDD Deskbook, process and tools. This role will lead the process improvement and changes to Group procedure that have impact to GBS CDD Operations. It also includes people management of 4 Analysts and would be acting at the single point of accountability in managing relationship with the segment allocated.
