Journeyman Electrician - Fabrication Shop
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and constructing industrial electrical equipment. The right candidate provides leadership and education in the zero-incident safety culture and assumes personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Support the safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Possesses the necessary license or identification card to meet all local, state, and government regulations.
- Installs electrical wiring, conduit / cable equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
- Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation and construction of electrical equipment and systems found in a residential/commercial setting through the proper use of standard cable wire, conduit, fittings, and hardware commonly used in settings.
- Reads and understands conduit drawings, schematics, electrical drawings, and specifications.
- Uses and cares for tools and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools.
- Complies with all safety and the applicable safety handbook, leads, and educates fellow employees in the safe work ethics, practices, and behaviors.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Must possess direct knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Industrial experience required.
Requirements:
- Possess a current and valid certification as a Journeyman Electrician.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Eligibility for employment is contingent upon passing a drug screening.

Duration: 5 months
Payrate: $28-$31, depending on experience
