Take ownership for leading complex projects

You will work within the Systems group in Subsea Controls Systems and will provide technical guidance and development/deployment of world class Control Systems with the ability to be deployed on multiple EPC and Brownfield projects globally. You’ll have a systems mindset, with the ability to challenge the norms and an affinity for problem solving. Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry is not essential.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering Safe and Compliant products across the Engineering Group
  • Working with allocated project team to deliver the required systems engineering scope, acting as the technical interface to the customer
  • Delivering and being responsible for work scopes with allocated project teams
  • Taking ownership of system Engineering design file, FMEA, HAZOP and other processes/analysis.
  • Reviewing and understanding of technical scope, requirements and specifications
  • Executing system level tests, providing assurance that the overall system design meets the customer requirements

  • Demonstrate experience in system engineering within any industry that develops complex systems
  • Have an enthusiasm for solving technical problems
  • Be excited by learning new technologies and understanding how these apply to different industries
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate highly technical information in a clear, concise manner
  • Have a natural ability to motivate and influence a team of engineers and technical experts
  • Demonstrate excellent written, reporting and presentation skills
  • Be fluent in oral and written English
