A vacancy has arisen for a Logistics Manager, based at our Lillyhall facility. The successful candidate will lead, manage and develop the operational and logistics elements of Lillyhall's Security & Distribution Centre. The role requires someone with a proven track record of leading successful teams and the ability to continuously drive for improvement and operational excellence within the team.
The successful candidate will be required to:
Deputise for the Site Manager as required, ensuring that you identify and manage commercial matters diligently and strictly in accordance with your delegated authority across each area of the business. They will strategically plan and manage logistics and operational warehousing operations to maximise outputs and meet weekly commercial KPI targets. They will plan, manage and evaluate the logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers and companies to support new business requirements / opportunities. Develop and deliver operational and logistics solutions with your direct reports while maintaining a high level of quality control, service and within budgetary requirements. They will create, implement best practice logistic and operational principles and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance. Interpret trends and analyse collected data to support a proactive safety culture.
To be considered for this position, candidates should be a CPC Operational Licence Holder, have experience within a similar role, hold a certificate of Professional Competency, IOSH 4-day Managing Safely Certificate and financial management training. Proven ability to work in a team but crucially under own initiative, strong communication and customer-facing skills and the ability to develop a strong safety culture is essential as is Microsoft Office experience and strong report writing skills. ADR Vocational Qualification is desirable.
