ENGIE are looking for a Bid Manager to join our team in Canary Wharf on a permanent basis working Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00. If you are self motivated and enthusiastic - then this could be the role for you!!
The role of Bid Manager is to provide high quality bid management services for bids of medium to high value and complexity (between £8m and £50m) within the Business Services division, with multiple FM services incorporating energy services, requiring submission of detailed quality, cost and commercial proposals.
This role sits within the Bid Management team that is part of the Business Services' Sales & Marketing business development team and will have a high degree of interaction and close working with other members of the Business Services' Sales & Marketing Team, subject matter experts from within Business Services, and wider-ENGIE stakeholders. Jointly working with the Sales team, the Bid Manager will help create winning bid solutions. The broad intention is that the Sales team members will act as the Bid Lead allowing the Bid Manager (this role) to focus on driving the entire bid process to ensure a timely completion and submission of a successful bid.
What is your day to day?
  • Create, implement and proactively manage the Bid Plan including timelines, key milestones and responsibilities to deliver bid requirements on time, to required quality and on budget
  • Work closely with the Sales lead to ensure customer requirements are translated into our overall bid strategy to form a winning proposal which demonstrates our understanding of their requirements and ENGIE's capabilities
  • Responsibility for the quality of all aspects of the bid, including written responses and presentations, ensuring written work is clear, concise and compelling
Who are you?
  • Significant previous experience working within a bid management role
  • Experience within the UK private sector bidding environment (and knowledge of UK public sector bidding environment)
  • Hold a qualification to relevant the role such as HND/degree level education or equivalent.
  • APMP Foundation / Prince 2
