Job Title

Hydrographic Surveyor




The Hydrographic Surveyor will conduct all field survey projects as required by the Party Chief or manager, performing with creativity, a great degree of latitude, guaranteeing projects needs are met efficiently and in compliance with safety policies and procedures.


  • Guarantee a safety performance on all operations and report any deviations to the Party Chief or manager.
  • Support job safety analysis and safety meetings
  • Guarantee company's equipment safety and maintenance.
  • Follow the company's performance requirements such as: DOTD and OII.
  • Conduct Hydrographic and Geophysical projects
  • Support the mobility, operation and user level maintenance of sensors and Geophysical equipment.
  • Conduct Geophysical sensors and equipment positioning limited to:
  • Coring equipment, winches, single beam echo sounders, side scan sonar, sub-bottom profilers, DGPS, GPS, USBL and more.
  • Provide surveys log, data collection and entries.


  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree
  • 2-year Technical Degree in field of study is preferred.
  • +2 years' experience in related technical field
  • Demonstrated knowledge in field concepts and technicities such as: Side Scan Sonars, GPS, Multibeam, Magnetometer Systems and Multibeam.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in data collectors and basic survey equipment manufacturer's software.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
