Development of water resources and infrastructure are at the core of this vision. Our client has commissioned Jacobs to develop an integrated environmental plan for the Kingdom. Multiple opportunities exist to get involved in this project and others as Jacobs continues to deliver environmental solutions to the Kingdom's most pressing challenges.
Support client managers and others with client facing responsibilities as they undertake activities which include but not limited to the following.
You will need to see and deliver growth opportunities with private, commercial and governmental clients with respect to environmental services across the Kingdom and within the Middle East region.
Lead projects and supporting the wider environment team on tasks as required, this may include on environmental permitting and planning, strategy development, audits, management plan development, supervision, policy development, specialist technical inputs, project coordination as well as participation in client interactions and delivery. Such work may include travel within the region.
Identify changes and new opportunities in the market. Position for and support bidding for new work. Maintaining an ongoing working relationship with multi-disciplinary professionals within and across relevant Sections and Operations to provide direct, rapid and efficient communications on all technical aspects of project tasks. Mentoring and coaching staff, and working within the industry to drive positive transformative change internally and externally
As a successful candidate you will have a university degree from a recognized university in an appropriate field such as environmental science, sustainability, or equivalent with at least a solid experience within an environmental and sustainability.
Having or being able to demonstrate progress in achieving chartership with a recognized
professional body (IEMA or similar)
Ideally have 8-12 years' experience in the environmental and sustainability work arena delivering and preferably leading the environmental aspects of major projects meeting regional and best practice standards. At least 3 years of GCC or KSA experience is strongly desired.
Specialist experience in a particular technical discipline within the environmental space will be highly regarded.
Fluency in both English and Arabic will be well received.
Demonstratable experience in team management (line management or within projects), mentoring, and coaching within or across your technical practice area.
Experience building client relationships and winning work.
