The Project Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and supporting customer relationships. Our internal tools will help the Project Manager to manage the technical, as well as all commercial aspects of the assigned projects. Responsibilities include worldwide regulatory/country type approvals and certification of licensed technologies including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HD Radio, Apple, USB, SiriusXM, MirrorLink, etc. Will work with 3rd party laboratories to maintain appropriate compliance for Harman products. This includes: EMC, CE, FCC, eMark, Bluetooth, USB, etc...
Project Manager is responsible for providing frequent status reports and/or final certifications as well as generating quotes and invoices. Our policies and procedures provide the framework for success and the Project Manager shall continue to seek means for improvements.
The Project Manager shall stay updated with industry and technology trends as well as requirements. Active involvement in industry associations is expected and may require limited travel. The Project Manager is expected to be proactively involved in forecasting projects and sales activities.
- Send and track all samples worldwide
- Plan, control, support and monitor all type approval test & certifications
- Analyze product description/ Feature and detailed country list to specify regulatory requirements
- Project planning (time and material, variants of product, coordination internal/external support)
- Document preparation and recording of compliance testing
- Regular communication and process support
- Resource and cost estimation; negotiate prices with partners
- Works with Program Management and 3rd party laboratories to determine necessary compliance tests, test schedules, budgets, and deadlines
- Maintains a global compliance requirements list and all associated specifications
The ideal candidate will have Project Management and/or design or test experience in the wireless telecommunications industry. Experience may include wireless infrastructure vendors, chipset vendors, manufacturers and wireless network operators. Candidate is both technical and detail oriented and enjoys working in a dynamic environment with evolving technologies and standards. Foreign languages are a plus.
We are seeking a highly motivated, well organized individual with excellent communication skills (written and verbal), ability to work efficiently in both team environments and independently with minimal supervision. Candidate takes ownership of projects and responsibilities to maximize both personal and company potential.
Desired Bachelor Degree in Business/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science,
PMP Certification a plus
Project Management work experience (Min) 3-5 years
