Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking for a Materials Lead to strengthen our team in Iraq.

 

 

  • Implement materials management strategies and plans
  • Train and supervise client and Wood personnel on the Wood Materials Management System
  • Ensure all materials databases and project reporting tools are updated with the latest information
  • Liaison with planning and construction to ensure material availability against Work Pack / Job Card
  • Management of all materials between expediting function and suppliers to ensure safe and timely deliveries
  • Coordination of hired plant and equipment including inspection requirements
  • Manage the material control and warehousing functions to ensure timely delivery, receipt, checking, storing and issuing of goods
  • Ensure all materials are clearly labelled with PO number, Client Ref and quantity
  • Commitment to and promotion of companies values and ensuring the realization of company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures
  • Implement the Preservation and Maintenance procedure for materials and equipment arriving on site

 


Skills / Qualifications

 

 

 

 

 

  • Minimum of 15 years work experience in the control and management of materials from receipt at warehouse through distribution to required site location
  • Good working knowledge of materials system, process controls, warehousing and logistics within the oil and gas industry
  • Ability to identify oil and gas materials and equipment
  • Competent in maintaining and updating project reports accordingly
  • Experience in the handling, storing and preservation of oil and gas project materials and equipment
  • Previous Middle East experience including Iraq is preferred
