Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a People & Organization Coordinator (Human Resources) to provide support to the Canadian Resilient Environments HR Team & Canadian Operations. The Coordinator plays a critical role with Wood, ensuring compliance in all processes and procedures within P&O.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive and professional customer-focused service to the Resilient Environments staff in Canada
  • Support employees and managers with questions in support of the P&O function
  • Responsibile for managing the shared email inbox to respond to staff queries
  • Support operations in the onboarding process for all new hires
  • Support the Canadian P&O team daily to ensure the delivery of general P&O tasks and processes are carried out in a timely and efficient manner
  • Accurately update spreadsheets, reports and all applicable documentation when required
  • Assist with managing the electronic filing system
  • Process Employee Action Forms (EAF's) and daily use of HRIS (ADP) and pulling reports
  • Prepare employment documentation including employment verification letters
  • General Benefits administration
  • Arrange and organize meetings as required


Skills / Qualifications

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resources Management is preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar HR role
  • Proficient & experienced with Microsoft Office software applications; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Outstanding customer service skills; ability to build relationships with internal & external customers at all levels
  • Professional, mature, personable and service oriented person who ensures confidentiality at all times to the highest standard
  • Positive individual with a "can do" attitude who takes pride in their work and has a flexible approach to working
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects within assigned deadlines
  • Attention to detail, with excellent spelling, grammar and proof-reading skills
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and challenge the way we work, always looking to add value to the business
