Key Responsibilities include:
• Performs the assessment and design and monitors ongoing process of a project, including the coordination of the project with project delivery team.
• Leading/working with a team of EC&I engineers/designers in developing/reviewing engineering deliverables throughout various stages of the project.
• Carrying out site surveys/ condition assessments to determine requirements.
• Information gathering and carrying out desktop studies.
• Performs calculations and evaluations in the design of HV/LV systems and equipment for industrial and commercial applications.
• Capable of undertaking Network Analysis studies.
• Design of associated control and protection systems inc. SCADA.
• Design of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Design of electrical interfaces.
• Maintains effective communication with Clients and project team members.
• Performs other duties assigned by Discipline Head or Project Manager.
• Prepare plans and drawings, functional and technical specifications, and contract documents.
• Interfaces and co-ordinates with Safety Case and Systems Engineering teams.
• Works with minimal supervision and delivers to deadlines.


• Possess in depth knowledge of the electrical engineering discipline.
• Experience in HV generation/distribution systems and associated control and protection systems.
• Experience in HV/LV network design and analysis and using industry standard software tools (ETAP/AMTECH).
• Experience of working on Nuclear Safety Implicated systems.
• Experience of working with and implementing Safety Case processes and requirements.
• Experience in preparing Technical Reports and substantiation of electrical designs.
• Commercial awareness.
• Experience in a contracting environment, relevant site experience.
• Experience in using AutoCAD software.
• Possess suitable security clearance or capable of obtaining relevant NSV clearance.
• Must be a sole UK national.
• Willing to travel and relocation if/when required.
• Background in project design/engineering work in Nuclear and Defence Sector.

• Professionally qualified (e.g. Chartered/Incorporated) Engineer with a degree (preferred but not necessary) in the relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated record of maintaining own skills and knowledge at the forefront of the field.
• Willingness to work in locations throughout the UK.
