  • Maintain and report (inputting and extracting data where appropriate) time and cost bookings in the project time booking system using suitable cost reporting tools such as Excel spreadsheets.
  • Based on LLWR site embedded within the project team.
  • Developing and maintaining a suitable cost breakdown structure (CBS). Ensuring correct allocation of cost and time bookings so that costs against budgets can be monitored. Managing hours booking connections to Replicon and ensuring all connections are pre-authorised by the PM and no costs are accrued without the PM's authorisation.
  • Prepare regular cost reports for the Client PM and Client central cost/financial control team in line with the Client procedures / instructions. This will include Client and sub consultant costs.
  • Preparation of accurate payment applications / valuation certificates / summaries including forecasts (e.g. 2+2 weeks) and expediting service entry numbers (or Instructions to Invoice) from SL for the full payment due.
  • Assisting the PM in the production and update of cash flow / expenditure forecasts Estimates at Completion (EAC)
  • Sub consultant cost monitoring and reporting to Client. Review of sub consultant invoices and advising the PM of payments due.
  • Provision of actual cost data for earned value analysis and input to the relevant sections of the PM's monthly Client progress report.
  • Weekly updates to programmes including liaising directly with discipline leads to collate progress.
  • Production of design phase programmes development through collaborative planning sessions
  • Supply Chain management, production of PR's, Processing Invoices
  • Production of CE's, EWN and General Communication in CEMAR as instructed by the Project Manager


Ability to build, maintain and deliver cost schedules from source data in an accurate, quality and timely manner without supervision

Ability to take instruction and interpret requirements of stakeholders and deliver cost information relevant to their needs.

Ability to show technical problem-solving techniques through the use of standard applications, retrieve cost information and manipulate data to produce quality output in an unsupervised environment

Be fully conversant with processes and requirements to deliver cost engineering activities without supervision

Be fully conversant with the processes and requirements of change control and be able to provide cost support in this area.

Be fully conversant with the processes and requirements of estimating and planning and be able to provide both planning and cost support in this area.

Can demonstrate sound communication and presentation skills to be able to report key cost trends to all stakeholders

Ability to collect and interpret data to build accurate estimate at completion forecasts

Ability to manage own workload to meet deadlines and timeframes applicable to the stakeholder organisations

Experience with working under NEC contracts

Experience of SL working practices

Experience of Sellafield Project Control Procedures

Good working knowledge of CEMAR would be advantageous but not essential to the role.
