Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a Junior Corporate Accountant to join our business. There is an increased thrust to deliver our services for the growing Asian market. As a result of this, Finance Department is expanding and evolving to manage the challenges of regional projects that continue to pose challenges in offering our services through a global talent pool.

  • Set up new JDE accounts upon approval & mapping in HFM
  • Update month-end exchange rates in JDE & Issue to all the table
  • Prepare monthly salary accruals (JDE journal entries)
  • Prepare monthly manhours accrual (JDE journal entries)
  • Prepare necessary HFM journal entries for monthly closing
  • Reconciliation of Accrued expense, Acc salaries, Deposit
  • Reconciliation of JDE and HFM numbers (both BS and P&L)
  • Extract JDE GL data for loading into FDM
  • Update MUT file for monthly closing
  • Validate MUT output file
  • Update NMR file for identify cause of variance in SGA cost
  • Update STAT and STUT files for H1 and full year
  • Update SRP file and load into FDM - Budget
  • Update liquidity plan - for those Corp invoice status
  • Update cost savings file
  • Update IT cost template ( for GIT- Catherine E and Gan HL)
  • Compile monthly management book
  • Compile monthly month-end schedule file
  • Extract Total spent- Quarterly request frm group
  • Issuance of AR/ AP and Interco report to all
  • Compile quarterly GST for submission to IRAS
  • Conduct quarterly petty cash counts
  • Complete Dept of Statistics surveys ( quarterly / annual )
  • Prepare draft financial statements for statutory audit
  • Prepare audit schedules and reconciliations for statutory accounts
  • Prepare tax schedule for Tax return
  • Issue invoice for Corporate cost recharge ( like to GIT, RHI etc)
  • Book into JDE and follow up on payment

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline required. CPA preferred
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Ability to consolidate data from a number of sources for overall presentation
  • Numerate, Analytical, with an Inquisitive background
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Be able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Strong communication skills - both written and oral
  • Experience with ERP tools - for example, Hyperion
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and able to multi-task
