You will be primarily responsible for...
Managing multiple projects and the development of each from beginning to end, including project scope, goals, and deliverables. Managing every aspect of the development process including consultants, general contractors, vendors, specialty contractors, budgets, internal departments, and developers. Managing each phase of the project including entitlement, design, permitting, bidding, contracting, construction, store start up, store turnover, and project close out
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage multiple projects and the development of each from beginning to end
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Manage every aspect of the development process including consultants, general contractors, vendors, specialty contractors, budgets, internal departments, and developers
- Familiar knowledge of construction components, process, and methodologies
- Manage each phase of the project including entitlement, design, permitting, bidding, contracting, construction, store start up, store turnover, and project close out
- Plan and schedule project timelines
- Familiar with contract administration and change order review
- Quality control and assurance
- Budget development, forecasting, and management
- Web based project management
- Provide direction and support to the project team
- Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
- Manage day-to-day activities for program sourcing and logistic requirements
- Expedite purchase orders to vendors working with internal client teams
- Manage delivery schedules and translate store requirements to available inventory
- Coordinate & communicate activities and schedules with all vendors and internal BV team
- Manage inbound logistics and tracking process from Material Supplier to Distribution Center to Store
- Alert internal client team of lost or missing material items; monitor and drive sourcing issues to timely resolution
- Ability to climb ladders (including vertical ladders up multiple stories) and/or steep roof stairs (for each building assessed, at least once per on-site assessment)
- Ability to travel, on average, up to 90% of time to client sites across the U.S. via plane and driving as determined based on project location . Overnight stays away from home may be required.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Ability to work from remote location.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
- Degree in Construction, Architecture, or Engineering preferred with a minimum of 3 years in retail project management or big box remodel projects.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Strong consideration will be given to those that are PMP and LEED certified
- Valid driver's license is required
- Personal credit sufficient to charge business travel expenses of up to $3,000 required.
Other Qualifications
- Must have a cell phone and supply your own internet service.
- Must be able to work from a remote location
- Occasional weekend travel required.
- Must be willing to fly and live near (or be willing to relocate to) a major metropolitan area with reasonable access to a major airport
- Ability to travel, on average, up to 90% of time to client sites across the U.S. via plane and driving as determined based on project location . Overnight stays away from home may be required.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with BV employees and customers
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis in MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills including ability to perform multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to use and skillfully operate an electronic tablet efficiently in the field for live data collection is essential to this position.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role.
