Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking expressions of interest from Project Coordinator to join our team based in Kuwait The team is bidding for consultancy services management for refinery project Duration of the project is 3 years and position is required in Q4 2020 At this time, we are considering applications from Wood personnel

Role and Responsibilities


  • Provide HSSE leadership and awareness by ensuring that all Wood and KNPC requirements are implemented and followed
  • Conduct periodic site HSSE visits, reviews and audits
  • Ensure quality assurance system compliance and conduct periodic reviews
  • Ensure the Agreement is managed and delivered to KNPC technical, commercial and project delivery satisfaction
  • Create and sustain a good team spirit within the Wood project team and KNPC
  • Lead the development and review of Project Management Plans
  • Coordinate the execution of Work Orders and services
  • Ensure milestone completion certificates are issued by Wood and approved by KNPC in a timely manner
  • Ensure Work Order Deviation Notices are issued by Wood and approved by KNPC in a timely manner
  • Lead and minute weekly Work Order review meetings
  • Draft and review Work Order correspondence
  • Coordinate technical interfaces between assigned Work Orders
  • Continually improve project delivery processes and practices
  • Implement and coordinate lessons learned sessions and build into future Work Orders
  • Deputize for the Projects Manager during periods of absence as approved by KNPC
  • Prepare monthly KNPC and Wood project progress reports and presentations
  • Participate in key KNPC reviews, meetings and presentations as required

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum BSc Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years post graduate experience
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in similar role in refining and petrochemical industries
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with Wood as Project coordinator/ Project Engineer
  • Proven track record of managing multi-projects in general and Design, Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management functions
  • Business management and organisational skills
  • People management skills and ability to build and maintain a performing team
  • Safety leadership, knowledge and awareness of Wood policy and best practice
