Business Unit Description:

Delivering safe, innovative approaches to managing high-risk, technically complex projects - from management and operations to innovative clean-up and environmental remediation. Jacobs ATN-I provides a complete suite of services and specialized expertise for an array of facility and

infrastructure types that aim to optimise our clients' investments and meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.

Role Outline/Responsibilities:

The SCP project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants.

Reporting to the Lead Control Systems Engineer, the candidate will be required to develop the SCP Control system design.

The candidate shall have experience of control systems within Sellafield Ltd and shall demonstrate good working knowledge of systems as well as demonstrable experience within many projects.


The following experience is desirable:
• Demonstrable experience of control systems within Sellafield Ltd, but not mandatory
• Development of Sequence Interaction Diagrams
• Production of MIMIC Drawings and Specifications
• Production of SCADA and PLC User Requirement Specifications
• Understanding and interpreting Process Plant Sequence Interaction Definition Documents.
• Developing and interpreting Network Architecture drawings
• Interpreting Engineering Flow Diagrams (or P&IDs)
• Mandatory Experience/Behaviours:
• Excellent communication skills and an ability work in a collaborative environment. Able to discuss and work with other disciplines without the need for support.

The candidate shall have excellent personal skills, ability to work closely with others within their discipline as well as other disciplines.

In addition, the candidate shall have good team working skills & communication skills.

You must also be familiar with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Visio).

Basic security clearance will be required, and there will be a requirement for a P1 pass.
