Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Real Estate Advisory Analyst in either our Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX office.
Our Real Estate Advisory + Economics practice helps clients evaluate and make decisions about feasibility, financial requirements, social impact, risk and prospects for success. We pull ideas into focus and sharpen the boundaries of a preliminary plan or concept for regional and place-based economic development, urban revitalization, real estate, tourism and culture.
Collaborating with other disciplines, our team develops strategies that respond to the market, attract financing and enable implementation. We address challenges through clear communication, creative thinking and structured, impartial analysis. Our global experience and comprehensive, integrated approach help us understand how multiple factors influence value and feasibility. It's not just about the market, but also project design, public policies and regulations, site conditions, mitigation requirements, development and financing costs, phasing and implementation challenges.
JOB SUMMARY
The Real Estate practice is looking for additional analysts in our main office in Chicago. We are seeking candidates that have the capability to act as generalists but also have interest in focused areas such Urban Revitalization, Economic Development, Transit Oriented Development & Value Capture, Housing Policy.
The selected candidate will join AECOM with the primary objective of supporting delivery of of real estate analysis and economic development projects.
The successful candidate will have have some academic or career exposure in some of the following topics and familiarity with the remainder:
Real estate economics, including market and financial feasibility analysis; economic development strategies for redevelopment, innovation & upskilling, economic resilience; public-private partnerships and transaction support; housing and community development, including public sector planning; public finance, including fiscal impact analyses and infrastructure financing strategies; and the economic justification of resilience and climate adaptation strategies.

- Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Economics or City Planning
- Ideally has some work experience in real estate, economic development, market research, development, and/or consulting in a related field
- Experience with ArcGIS or other spatial analytics tools
- Master's Degree a plus
