About YouYou have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in environmental, engineering, statistics or other closely related degree and have spent 10+ years of your professional career working in statistics, Bayesian data analysis, or equivalent. You have also worked in the oil and gas industry and can evaluate both technical and economic GHG data and measurement components and suggestive options/interventions. Telling GHG stories through relevant data is your strength and you prepare dashboards with actionable data and insights for the organization to monitor progress against GHG objectives. Experience working with geospatial data is nice to have.What we are looking forYou possess the following:
Advanced analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and sharing abundant information with accuracy
Comfortable working with large datasets
Strong collaborator- ability to work collaboratively across functions and interact with senior executives.
Compelling storyteller, with excellent written and oral presentation skills.
Creative problem solver when faced with incomplete data or an obstacle to interpretation, able to find ways to generate insights
Strong communication skills; able to communicate complex statistical concepts in simple language and with visualizations of data; able to communicate updates to leadership effectively; able to maintain clear and thorough documentation
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with high degree of quality, speed and flexibility to changing priorities.
You also have
A high technical proficiency in the application of applicable regulatory resources and requirements associated with GHG and sustainability.
Proficiency communicating regulations, risk management, and risk assessment skills as related to GHG
Proficiency in identifying and evaluating GHG related technologies to reducing emissions.
Work with the business to identify, evaluate and quantify GHG emission reduction opportunities and track emission reductions.
Participate in and collaborate with various individuals, workgroups and functions within bp on GHG.
Comfortable with ambiguity and creating clarity in ambiguous situations
