Job Summary

Manage the replacement of the current Inventory Management system for all areas in the Eastern Hemisphere (EH), with a new Oracle based platform. The job involves aiding the design of the new system and in conjunction with the areas coming up with the best inventory system for the rigs and the base. Extensive testing and feedback to the developers will commence prior to the pilot in one of the areas. Once the pilot is stable, roll out will then begin and the total replacement of the current software will be completed.


This position will be based in Jebel Ali but must be able to travel extensively and operate remotely (KSA / US / Middle East / South Asia)



  • Project manage the replacement of the inventory management system in the EH
  • Responsible for the timely implementation, within cost, of the replacement inventory management software
  • Scope the existing inventory management processes and optimize with "To Be" models with the areas
  • Liaise with developers in US to obtain the optimum solution for all areas
  • Be a major team player of the steering group guiding and providing feedback to senior management
  • Coordinate with all points of contact and feedback to the steering group
  • Produce weekly and monthly communications in various formats to all business functions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • At least 10 years' experience in managing inventory
  • Must have project management skills with post degree Project Management certification preferred
  • Oracle knowledge and experience would be beneficial
  • Good customer orientation and able to listen and persuade when necessary
  • Oil and Gas experience would be beneficial although not essential
  • English speaking with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills with thorough working knowledge of MS Project (or similar PM tool)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in rolling out inventory systems / replacing inventory systems is essential
  • Must have a strong drive for action orientated approach and "just do it" attitude
  • Experience working with inventory management software
  • Experience conducting tracking and data analysis
