Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a Senior Consultant, Sustainable Transportation & Infrastructure for our growing Integrated Mobility (IMS) Sustainable Transportation & Infrastructure group in Canada. The IMS practice has established an exciting new service line focused on Mobility Business and Policy. The new service line includes specialization in the disciplines of Transport Decarbonization, Transit Operations Efficiency and Optimization, Transit Asset Management and Transit Oriented Communities. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, resourceful and aspiring individual looking to make a positive contribution to Climate Change Impact Reduction, and in creating more resilient, sustainable infrastructure development.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Deliver and lead proposals and bids to meet client demand for the Mobility Business and Policy practice
  • Senior responsibility for delivering project work on time and on budget, fully meeting client expectations
  • Develop financial models and pro-formas in urban transportation
  • Conduct market research and business case evaluations on technological, customer-centric and innovative solutions for the urban transportation sector
  • Manage various internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide technical writing of vehicle specifications, supply chain, and transportation operations and maintenance
  • Convert data analytics to strong visualizations and graphic designs for enhanced impact
  • Identify and assist in developing new growth markets for Wood, in Canada and globally
  • Assist in developing thought leadership content and mentorship for Wood

 


Skills / Qualifications

 

 

 

  • 10+ years of experience working in the transportation or infrastructure industry with a minimum of 5+ within the emerging resiliant and sustainable transportation sector
  • Graduate level degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
  • Undergrad in Urban Studies, Business, or Engineering
  • Understanding of ISO 55001, ISO 55000, ISO 14971
  • Strong understanding of Public Transit, Urban Transportation, and Energy Transistion
  • Superior analytical, written and verbal communication skills
