Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting for a Roustabout with CDL to join our team near Gillette, Wyoming. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required

This position will be responsible for driving a semi (locally), plant maintenance and may fill-in as a relief operator on various projects.


  • Drives truck to multiple job sites and destinations
  • Loads and unloads heavy construction and other equipment
  • Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations
  • Maintains telephone and/or radio contact with supervisor and dispatcher to receive delivery instructions
  • Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members
  • Check fuel supplies at sites to ensure adequate availability
  • Drive and maneuver a back hoe to dig ditches, unload equipment
  • This position will provide support on day-to-day project needs as a roustabout and back-up operator
  • Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects
  • Ability to fuse poly pipe and operate tools required to accomplish this task
  • Long hours and weekend work may be required


Skills / Qualifications




  • Mechanical/Operations background
  • Commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • Roustabout experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • High School diploma or GED
