In this role, you will be supporting our Fleet services team for Florida Power and Light located at the Ft. Myers garage. Crane certification is preferred but not required.Toqualify for this role,the ASE Master Medium/Heavy Truck Certification is required plus a valid CDL.Job Overview
This job responsible for providing safe and reliable vehicles/equipment to all customer segments while maintaining a technical focus for solutions to complex problems. Employee in this role assists in monitoring / assessing performance of other technicians and groups to make improvements or take corrective actions. The successful candidate will following processes and procedures to achieve desired results while utilizing interdependence / collaboration with work group to ensure maximum potentials. Job Duties & Responsibilities
Under limited supervision:
• Communicates and demonstrates safe working practices ensuring safety/environmental inspections are performed
• Diagnoses faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs
• Provides guidance, technical assistance and training to other technicians
• Maintains garage parts inventory
• Schedules maintenance for vehicles and equipment
• Outsources work, dealing directly with vendors for parts, service and semiannual maintenance work
• Must meet attendance and storm duty requirements
• Performs other job-related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience:6+ years
- ASE Certification
- Commercial Driver's License
