As an Entry Level Rail Design Engineer on our team in Sacramento, CA, you'll have the opportunity to support the design of horizontal and vertical track alignments, so we can shape lasting solutions for the future. We'll ask you to draw from your past internship experience to provide review of various shop drawings and prepare preconstruction cost estimates for light rail/transit projects. As a team member supporting various large-scale transportation projects, you'll also perform civil design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons and other technical work.

We'll ask you to review drawings supplied by constrictors, clients, and engineers and then recommends necessary changes. Using your recent engineering degree, you'll research code issues and work with City, State, and County officials as well as research design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.

Here's What You'll Need:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel
• Strong analytical, conceptual, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.

Ideally You'll Also Have:
• A GPA of 3.0
• EIT certificate
• At least one previous summer design internship on transportation or rail
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation
