Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure's Nova Scotia location is currently seeking qualified and experienced Senior Environmental Assessment Practitioner to work on a variety of environmental impact assessment and permitting projects.

This is a full-time position is based from our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office. Some travel is anticipated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Typical project assignments include collecting or compiling data, either in the field or from published and unpublished materials, researching regulatory or technical requirements, and writing reports and proposals
  • Perform field sampling observations and data collection assignments; assessing existing site conditions
  • Contribution to / preparation of various components of environmental impact assessments including research and / or field studies
  • Document compilation and formatting
  • Preparation of technical reports and proposals


Skills / Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of prior related work experience and experience in federal and provincial environmental impact assessments
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree is a plus
  • Experience with regulatory and permititng processes
  • Experience with public and stakeholder consultation and engagement
  • Experience in managing large projects
  • Must have sound written and verbal communication skills
