Role Summary:

Baker Hughes has a new opportunity for Principal Software Engineering to join the team in Bangalore, India. Responsible for designing entire product or solution architecture, visualizing upstream dependencies across multiple versions, resolving scalability and issues and overall positioning of the product with reference to market and competition. Seen as a strategist who can evangelize and plot the product roadmap for coming years. Responsible for driving the design and development efforts in alignment with the product roadmap for one or more product families.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for designing entire Salesforce product or solution architecture, visualizing upstream dependencies across multiple versions, resolving scalability, reliability and serviceability and overall positioning of the product with reference to market and competition.
  • Apply best practices, design and coding strategies to build applications on the Salesforce Lightning platform including custom objects, workflows, triggers, the Force.com IDE, migration tools, SOQL and web services/Rest APIs.
  • Seen as a Salesforce strategist who can evangelize and plot the product roadmap for coming years. Responsible for driving full-life cycle design and development efforts in alignment with the product roadmap for one or more product families.
  • Lead the technical planning, design, and code reviews for large-scale projects. Integrate Salesforce.com with other systems, including SaaS applications from other vendors, REST APIs, event-driven systems, or data warehouses.
  • Own data architecture and security among different applications and components by creating and maintaining all related artifacts (UML, Sequence Diagrams, application architecture etc.)


Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
  • Have a minimum of 10 years experience as a Sales Force Engineer / Technical Architect.
  • Certified Application Architect or Certified System Architect with Salesforce. Hands-on development experience, grounded in DevOps principles highly preferred.
  • Thorough understanding on the Salesforce development (Declarative, Apex Coding, VisualForce) with knowledge of Best Practices understanding on Coding Standards, Deployment, Apex, VF, Salesforce Integration, Security implementations.
  • Experience utilizing Community Cloud to design and build multi-channel customer portals. Strong Knowledge of Commerce cloud and data structures. Experience in the design and implementation of real-time and batch integration with Salesforce and other systems using REST and Bulk APIs through integration platforms (MuleSoft).
  • Experience with data and schema management (structured DBs, SQL and RDBMS technologies, and SOA design principles) and keeping design artifacts curated.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to manage and resolve conflicts and articulate to product owners the value of recommended solutions and approach. Demonstrated ability to conduct presentations in a well-organized, concise manner focusing on required key elements to all audience levels.
  • Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities. Provide technical mentorship and feedback to other team members.
  • Demonstrated success working within an Agile and Waterfall product organizations.
