Role Summary:

Baker Hughes is a fast paced, dynamic global business. Candidate must be proactive enough to keep pace with the business, be able to adapt to a changing environment, collaborate effectively with teams outside of Tax and in different geographies, and communicate effectively with business teams, senior leaders and external auditors.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support Baker Hughes US GAAP tax operations process, which includes US tax, global provision, external reporting, SOX controls, compliance, & FP&A
  • Be an integral part of building and executing a road map for the future of the tax operations function
  • Leverage process and controls to eliminate inefficiencies, minimize risk and maintain focus on strategy and analysis
  • Identify process and control enhancement opportunities and help manage their implementation
  • Partner with broader tax team to deliver analytical solutions and to determine the impact of strategic business decision and transactions
  • Coordinating and providing support effectively across the tax team as needed with other relevant sub-teams, such as tax compliance and reporting, transfer pricing and indirect tax
  • Handles communication with colleagues and business leaders about change of policy and implementation
  • Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams on business initiatives
  • Significant experience in managing teams and developing talent


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • 8+ years of experience in Tax Operations
  • Technical tax accounting expert with deep international tax background
  • Ideal candidate has experience as a senior manager or higher in National Public Accounting firm plus Director level or equivalent experience in a Fortune 500 company
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office application
  • Proficiency in One Source and or CORPTAX provision software

  • Graduate degree in taxation and CPA
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
