We are currently recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst to join the team in our London office to work on all parts of the application lifecycle within a Trading and Risk Management environment. You will manage commercial ETRM packages (such as OpenLink-Endur, Trayport-Trayport Gateway) and own development (Microsoft .Net, Java). You will monitor and preserve the quality level of the applications, their corresponding services and their continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

As the Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in understanding business requirements by:

• Conducting interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, workflow storyboards, use case scenarios and other methods.
• Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define impact, outcome criteria and metrics.
• Work with stakeholders and the project and application maintenance team to prioritise requirements.
• Analyse and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
• Develop and utilise standard templates to write requirements specifications accurately and concisely.
• Test the newly implemented systems and features.
• Be the link between the company Business Functions and the Information & Communication Technology Department to evaluate needs (requirement gathering, opportunity management based on emerging technology and business case) and document formally.
• Be the link between external ICT partners and the ICT Department.
• User Acceptance Testing.

Employment contract
12 months fixed term contract. We are unable to offer visa support for this role.

Skills

• Good knowledge of English. Knowledge of Italian is an asset.
• Good communication with business function colleagues, external partners and with developers.
• Analytical and accurate.
• Problem solving.

Requirements

• University degree with focus on Informatics (or equivalent).
• Extensive experience producing functional analyses.
• Knowledge of the Trading domain and corresponding ETRM packages is an asset.
• Experience in the energy sector is an asset.
• Knowledge of analysis methodologies and UML are advantages.
