Project Description:

Multi-year UK nuclear infrastructure programme for which Bechtel will provide PMO (including Project Management, Project Controls, Commercial, Safety, Quality and Regulatory Assurance leadership) services.

Role Overview:
  • Reports to the Regulatory Affairs & Assurance Office Lead, with a matrix reporting line to the PMO Lead.
  • Supported functionally from the Nuclear Security & Environmental GBU Manager of Communications.
  • Works closely with leads for Governance & Reporting and Planning & Consents.
  • Develops and implements Stakeholder Engagement Strategies.
  • Develops and implements Communications Strategies including regular project updates on achievements, milestones, and initiatives.
  • Guides the team through stakeholder mapping.
  • Regularly pulses stakeholders and develops & manages a Stakeholder Dashboard reporting tool.
  • Guides the whole team (Bechtel, Client and Partners) in advocating transformational change amongst a diverse and integrated workforce.
  • Deploys a range of communications methods in support of the project, including: internal communications, external communications in coordination with our customer, targeted communications, developing presentation material for events, campaigns and internal reports to the board and executive.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • The position is open to United Kingdom (UK) Nationals only. UK/US dual citizens may be considered.
    • This position is also subject to a successful interview and agreement upon terms and conditions of employment. Candidate must be able to obtain an SC security clearance.
    • Demonstrated experience in developing engaging corporate communications material using Microsoft Office products and other design and publishing software across multiple communications channels and media.
    • Has undertaken communications management on at least two major projects.
    • A team player capable of adaptation to an integrated team environment.
    • A driven self-starter, confident, agile, articulate and capable of leading change by example.
    • Collaborative and flexible to meet all the demands of the client.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • EPC/EPCM experience on major infrastructure programmes including knowledge of communications best practices across the project lifecycle.
    • Communications leadership experience on nuclear and/or defence projects.
    • Experience on UK construction projects of >£100M TIC.
    • Experience of Business Transformation Programmes.
    • Experience of managing communications on programmes involving national security.
    • Experience of regulators (e.g. ONR and similar).
    • Experience of Government funded programmes.
