Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Project Manager and with safety, efficiency and customer service a priority, the Senior Electrical Technician is responsible for day-to-day guidance of employees as they execute projects. This includes developing a timeline for the project and delegating the individual components to members of the team, including himself. The Senior Electrical Technician provides regular updates the Project Manager on the team's progress in meetings or through regular email contact and reports.



  • Establish standards, tools and procedures for use on the project
  • Review project activities for compliance with procedures and standards
  • Direct technical and organizational resources within the project
  • Attend weekly progress meetings with management
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of assigned project and scope
  • Maintain an open line of communication with the client representative
  • Ensure that Procurement Department has all the details and information to assure delivery of materials,
    tools and/or equipment to support project schedules
  • Prepare reports as requested by Management and/or the Client
  • Keep project manager well informed of project status and serves as liaison between technicians and
    project manager
  • Supervise and provide leadership to onsite technicians
  • Lead and facilitate constructive communication within team


Education and Experience:

  • Offshore Drilling Rig experience a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ year's industry experience
  • Working knowledge of HSE practices common to the industry and the company
  • Electrical Subject Matter Expert
  • Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills and techniques
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
