This Project Management Co-op program allows students pursuing degrees in engineering, construction management, environmental science, or a related degree an opportunity to work closely with ENGIE Distributed Renewables' Engineering & Project Delivery team. This internship is for the 2021 spring semester from January, 2021 to May, 2021 working either part-time (20 hrs/week) or full-time (40 hrs/week). This individual will assist team members across various Project Management and Engineering resource areas bring commercial-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar projects from the development stage to commercial operation and maintenance. The position will provide unique and valuable experience in the distributed generation marketplace, foster an understanding of team- and company-wide operative strategies, and further the individual's technical knowledge of PV solar array design.

What you'll do:
  • Assist with system energy monitoring and operations and maintenance of existing solar installations
  • Develop tools and templates. Advance group initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day functions.
  • Collaborate with other departments including Development, Policy, Finance, Accounting, and Legal.
  • Create, review, and track project schedules.
  • Coordinate design reviews and approvals with local municipality and utility jurisdictions.
  • Drawing and document management.

What you bring:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Sciences or related field
  • Strong interest and passion for Renewable Energy and Sustainability
  • Fast learner with a desire to continually expand knowledge base
  • Detail-oriented
  • Results driven self-starter
  • Prior internship experience at a solar or wind developer, utility, or not-for-profit focusing on renewable policy preferred
