Role Summary:
Lead a team that will assimilate and evaluate market data, financial data and develop a comprehensive understanding of markets and competitive landscapes to identify potential new business opportunities for Baker Hughes.
Leads a department (functional area or organizational unit) which typically has a multinational scope. Alternatively, it is a leadership role for a large multi-layered organization with local scope. Typically manages a team/org of senior professional leaders.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Analyze market analytic models to create competitive strategies.
- Develop a participation strategy development process.
- Develop participation strategies for new or underserved markets with large potential.
- Build deep understanding of industry value chains, how they are segmented, future growth and profit pool forecasts to understand new business opportunity potential.
- Develop views on customer challenges, profit distribution, and processes that could be disrupted.
- Validate value proposition and outline business cases for new opportunities.
- Support Innovation and Offer Development group in detailed business plan development, validation and review
Qualifications/Requirements:
- This role requires experience in and/or outside the organization with typically 10+ years relevant business experience.
- Experience in managing others for at least 2 years.
- Knowledge level is comparable to a Master level degree.
