As the Finance GMD and OTC Accounting Supervisor, this role will be responsible for providing data management leadership in the areas of Governance, Process and Quality for financial data: Vendor, Customer, Material and Accounting.

Responsibilities :
  • Manages a team of financial master data analysts, providing training, feedback and monitoring process discipline and performance against SLA's
  • Main point of contact and oversee governing policies around Vendor, Customer, Material Master Data
  • Responsible for designing/redesigning, implementing and monitoring a strong control environment around master data objects and processes
  • Initiates and develops finance strategy framework of organization structure, new processes and system design changes, as needed
  • Manages problems and issues pro-actively, including timely resolution, identifying remediation opportunities and resolving systemic process issues to prevent them from repeating
  • Partner with Business Units, Global/Regional Finance Process Owners and IT on aspects of global and local financial data governance continually evolving business processes to streamline efficiencies
  • Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement
  • Stays abreast of industry leading best practices and brings them to the attention of the leadership team for innovative application
  • Develops and leverages partnerships (and relationships) with internal and external stakeholders to meet business needs
  • Facilitate offshore HUB team processing master data, guiding and directing on governance and respond to escalations as needed
  • Support special projects as needed (M&A, New IT software, etc.)
  • Perform user acceptance testing on defect resolution and enhancements in SAP
  • Develops and mentors staff through on-boarding, training and development opportunities and performance management processes

Minimum Required Qualifications :
  • Requires completion of an undergraduate degree in accounting, business, or other related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in accounting related roles
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or country-specific accounting principles required
  • Strong analytical skills, team player, process oriented and data driven
  • Experience using ERP systems such as: Oracle, SAP, Infor, etc.
  • Advanced oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with strong presentation and facilitation skills to communicate with a wide range of audiences

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Data Governance strategy for Material, Vendor and/or Customer domains
  • Experience in management or team lead capacity
  • Experience in working as a data steward or leading the data stewardship function
  • Background in Finance, AR, AP and/or Procurement
  • Project Management experience is a plus
  • Product Master, material and BOM experience is a plus
