Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager V Site Representative to be based in Phoenix. AZ.

This position is expected to begin in November, 2020.

We deliver our services-from environmental planning studies to detailed design, construction management, and operations and maintenance-to a wide range of public and private sector clients. Our public sector work encompasses everything from small rural communities, to large urban centers, to agencies with regional responsibilities. Our private sector work includes assignments for multiple commercial/industrial sectors, including oil and gas, chemicals, power, food and beverage, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.

Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Capital Plan and Project Scope development oversight.
  • Change Order Development and Scoping.
  • Planning/Scheduling of resource requirements for project.
  • Coordinate with client, design and construction teams to facilitate resolution of project challenges.
  • Respond to client requests in a timely manner and appropriate manner.
  • Document decisions made through all forms of communication with clients and team members.
  • Manage project budgets to meet capital plan commitments.
  • Assists with the development of project plans, including estimates, client gate reviews, and scope.
  • Creates the optimum balance between design plant costs and costs of service.
  • Develops plan to support procurement of all engineered items to be purchased for project.
  • Generally working under the supervision of a senior Project Manager/Program Manager.
  • Keeps client and Program Manager, advised of project progress, performance and manpower utilization with particular attention to delays, adverse trends, errors and omissions.
  • Assures proper documentation of meetings, agreements, conversations, etc. that affect the conduct of the project.
  • Coordinates the client's comments and needs with team.
  • Reviews Project Change Requests (ECRs, FCRs, etc) and dispositions change order candidates, segregates cost collection and manages the pertinent aspects of charge order management.
  • Makes sound, well-informed and objective decisions relating to assigned project with a strong understanding of the impact and implications of decisions.
Safety Representative Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers with administration of contracts, liaison duties with user groups, project team coordinator and project management support duties to execute capital projects.
  • Monitor construction work progress.
  • Coordinate with the general contractor on required meetings and attend all site-based Safety meetings, supporting the Project Managers.
  • Support field Project Managers in managing change process.
  • Apply AECOM safety standards on plant site for AECOM employees and contracted employees.
  • Administer OSHA and/or clients Safety guidelines and requirements (whichever provides the most protection).
  • Work at plant site intermittently for consecutive days.
  • Reviews potential contractor's safety plans and consults with the Project Manager with any areas of concern or missing information.
Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 8 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications
  • Willingness to acquire PMP Certification within 24 months of hire.
  • Experience in Energy/Plant environments.
  • Knowledge and training in Safety with OSHA 500 & 510 certifications.
  • Ability to travel to plant for extended periods.
